After many years in the field of architecture & design, I decided to take a break from it and become a SAHM (stay-at-home-mum) when my first daughter, Ioli, was born. It was a very difficult decision for me, as I was a workaholic, deeply in love with my job person and definitely not the type one of being at home all day long with a baby, cooking, cleaning the house and singing lullabies. Architecture was my love (and still is) but as I see it, you have to be completely dedicated in it. I couldn’t find balance between work and family, so Ioli won!
After my second daughter was born, Alice, I had to find a way to express my creativity, as I had started to feel a bit limited. I had various ideas come & go, but nothing seemed to fit right for me. I can admit that I am so lucky, since the last 8 years I spend all summer long in Paros Island with my two girls.
Can you guess?
Being all day at the beach and inspiration was born! I was always buying 2-3 pairs swimsuits for the girls to last the whole summer, but I was always disappointed by the quality and fit of the suits. Rushguards back then, were very rare and difficult to find in Greece and I had to order them online as Ioli has a very white skin with frecles and it was the only way to protect her from getting sunburned and be sun safe.
It took me 3 years to take the decision to make a girls swimwear collection, but one day I just made an instagram account and the moment I hit the button our story began.
Of course you don’t understand why I had to make an instagram account to start…If you knew me then you would: (I am that kind of person that read books from the end, I had no instagram account & I wasn’t socially active at all). So I had to feel commitment somehow and just to make a start…that’s me! I was really surprised when I upload the first photo and I had 17 likes!!! Wow…that’s fantastic I thought…
So here we are!
